How can I avoid the contact between the exhaust weld and the cross member?

Don´t realy understand what you mean. If you look at the picture the Capristo bracket is screwed with the 2 bolts that holds the cross member.
Then at a distance of aprox 10cm the bracket is eunning parallel to the crossmember. Since it is not tightened with another bolt in this end - I think there might be a chance that the bracket is ratteling against the member. Therefor I put something relative soft in between and then I tighten the two crossmember nuts.

    Sorry for my miss information!

I have installed my capristo system on my car but some reason the system makes contact to the back support that holds the truck latch. Do you had to do some modifications to the the cats or something to prevent this?
    Thanks!

Thanks Anders for posting and sharing. Does the kit contain only 2 elements? Isn't there a center bracket part of the kit? Or does these 2 parts replace the stock center bracket which are fixed on the gearbox? Can I ask you how much paid?

    Thanks a lot,
    Stef

Hello Stef - Yes these two brackets eliminates all other. No bracket connection to the gerabox. This is it.
If you look at the "new" brackets you can see that they can take up a lot of play in all directions. Seems to be a clever solution.

If I understand you right you might loosen the clamp connections to the catalyst and push everything a bit forward.
Or - if you have contact with the 2 horisontal screens - take them away and get a better airflow/heat out of the engine bay. I took mine of as a first mod.

Of course you can. I payed just about 580 EU for the brackets and about 390 EU for the two exhaust valves. + freight.

Not cheap, but seems to be excellent quality and a manifold breakdown is much, much worse.

Thanks Anders, very usefull. You're changing also the exhaust valves? What's the benefit to go for the Capristo exhaust valves compared to the stock once?

    Cheers,
    Stef

Ahh - then I got that right then. Talked again with Captisto who is going to make a special muffler to me. More quiet than there standard and hopefully it will fit the combo I have.
Fabspeed manifold / Standard Catalyst / and have just ordered FabS rear tubing and valves.

If someone is interested in this let me know.

This must be the absolute final exhaust experiment for me. Way too costly. Have tried TUBI Evo Silencio and X-Ost Silent and now this. Have also a set FabS 200 cell that I havent used - and probably will not. If someone in EU is interested in these - let me know.

I want to have the car quiet on first step and screaming when valves are opening. That means I can travel in highway speed comfortable and listen to the new audio system I have.

Haha - I am not the only one that makes misstakes. On these beautiful pictures the brackets are fitted 180 deg wrong. Not a big issue, but will remember it next time I put something upside down.

You're very right, I didn't notice it :D. Capristo should present their exhaust brackets in the right way :D (left bracket goes right et vice versa)

Anders, did you improve the springs also on your F430? I'm looking for much stiffer springs but I'm not interested to lower the car (too many speed bumps). I've seen H&R aftermarket spring but they do lower the car at least 2-3 cm. I got the red springs from Ferrari (mine were yellow stamped first and was well too soft - front bumper hitting the ground very easily). As you are very hands-on, I'd like to know if you could improve your suspension.

2-3 cm is really Ok - I think. I have 365 mm wheelcentre to edge of fender front and 385 mm rear. Perfect to me.
If you got a 2-3 cm shorter springs - then it is just to screw the car up again. Haven´t you got adjustable coil overs?

Yes I am interested in stiffer springs so I am on. Now it is your turn to start a new thread about this.

    all the best

    Anders
