so im thinking, I bought the capristo exhaust, im about to spring for the hyperflows.....should I just by headers and do all 3 while the engine is out for the major? What do you think? What brand of headers, QV London? Tubi? Any advice would be appreciated.

For a 355 I don't think you can improve the breathing much more by replacing the headers. I'd have QV just repair the stock pair. However, if you were really going to get into it, then new custom headers with wider diameter pipes along along with matching cats (not Hyperflows) and a custom exhaust. If it were me, I leave it alone.

but eventually the headers will need replacing as well right? So why not just change them out while the car is being worked on and everything is apart to save on costs.

Consider NAPerformance headers also. They are coated and heat wrapped. For about $1k more than QV, you get another 14 HP...

You get the right heat treatment that way to prevent your headers from frying your alternator, plus you proactively fix the known Ferrari problem of exhaust headers leaking that can burn your valves...and you get extra HP!

I mean, if you are going to spend money on headers anyway, spending $1k for 14 extra HP is a bargain.

    Stock vs NAPerformance

The only downside is due to lack of supply you often have to wait up to 2 months to receive a set, thus I highly recommend planning around the wait, if you're going to have the engine out, order in advance you don't want to pull the engine out, call me and then find out they are 2 months away.

If I was you I would wait and see what else comes up. Headers without the insulation and heatshields are causing problems in many 355s. Right now the only ones I would use are the OEM and Tubi. There are others out there developing better headers for the 355 and they include the shielding. The heat has to be kept in the tubes and coatings and wraps dont do this well enough. This is just my opinion after reading much and personally hearing from a few FMechanics.

very nice, i think when I do my major ill order the headers. For now I think the hyperflow and capristo should do. With all three I might be able to get 50 more HP to the wheels? I wonder if anyone have a dyno of capristo, hyperflow, and headers vs stock.

Yeah, that would be very, very, very cool, as I'm due for a major in 6 months to a year, and I already have Cap 3 and Hyp-flos, but still have factory headers.
