So, I see that Franc and Lou Yarde no longer represent Tubi Style, and now distribute X-Ost Maranello. In fact the Tubi Style USA website is down, and a google search brings up a lawsuit between Tubi Style USA and a shop in FL: http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-miwdce/case_no-1:2008cv00197/case_id-55399/

I also noted all references to X-Ost Maranello have been removed from Ricambi America.

This is the email I received today:

ITALY’S X-OST MARANELLO FORMS NEW EXCLUSIVE U.S DISTRIBUTOR.

HOLLAND, MI—Yarde Automotive has announced that the Italian custom-exhaust manufacturer, X-OST Maranello s.r.l. has partnered with the firm in the creation of what will be known as X-OST Maranello North America. It will be the exclusive distributor in North America and South America. Franc and Lou Yarde will run the new Company.

Domenico “Mimmo” Schiattarella, one of the founders of X-OST Maranello , is a professional race car driver, whose keen insights and extensive racing experience have been instrumental in the development and testing of X-OST Maranello products. The company which is based in Maranello, Italy combines Domenico’s skills with the professional contributions of his partners, Carlo and Massimiliano Schiattarella. Carlo, lead engineer, produces high-quality aftermarket exhaust systems that enhance the power of cars by up to 20%. Utilization of the finest materials available including titanium alloy is the key factor in weight reduction of X-OST Maranello products. Meanwhile Massimiliano contributes his creative talent as the prototype designer at X-OST Maranello.

Domenico is a past Formula 1 and Indy Car driver and a current factory driver for Ferrari. X-OST Maranello does research and development prototyping for Ferrari and is an official supplier to Ralli Art and Alfa Corse.

X-OST Maranello products which include Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin and BMW have been popular in Europe for several years. However the line has had limited exposure in Canada, the United States and South America until now.

“Franc and Lou Yarde have been highly successful as distributors of aftermarket exhaust systems for more than 15 years,” says Domenico. “They have approximately 150 dealers, including all the Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini franchise stores in the U.S. market.” “We are delighted to partner with them and know they will help us expand the X-OST Maranello brand throughout North and South America.”

“We are eager to apply our knowledge of aftermarket custom-exhausts to X-OST Maranello products,” says Franc Yarde, “and look forward to sharing their products with the rest of the world.” “The quality is superb. They have built a solid reputation by handcrafting exotic exhaust systems for demanding customers around the world.”

Franc Yarde has marketed and distributed hand-crafted stainless steel sport exhaust systems throughout North America for over a decade. His company has enjoyed a long history of meeting the demands of exotic production cars, prototype vehicles, super cars and the one-of-a-kind creations used by top Formula 1 racing teams throughout the world. Franc’s passion for Italian Design is now represented through the creation of X-OST Maranello North America.

It is true, and a very positive move for X-OST! In multiple visits to Italy and plenty of conversations with Mimmo about this switch, it is absolutely a great move everyone. Frank and Lou have more experience in the logistics of mufflers than we did -- and frankly more legacy connections (from their prior business) to move product into highly valued sales channels that Mimmo needs. Our removal of the X-OST items from the website is really only temporary. We're going to let Frank and Lou set the tone and branding message for distribution, then ask how we can support their efforts.

In fact, I spoke to the folks at X-OST Friday morning about an upcoming trip David is making to Maranello (non exhaust business), and it was perfectly cool. I do indeed wish Frank and Lou the best of luck in this venture. They have a product that I 100% support, and a product that I suspect their new customers will simply love!
