I own a 512 tr 1994 also sans cats. The exhaust is the same as your TR. Had a custom handmade race exhaust from a german company called KUBLER. It was unbelievable loud, really UNBELIEVABLY LOUD. Sounded like an F1 car over 5.000 rpm's. Neighbours in the street and wife didn't like it, just three months ago i bought another from EISENMANN (also german) after hearing also TUBI and Capristo. Both didn't do it for me. If you are interested in F1 sound for your TR, sure the race version of any brand is the way to go. If you are interested in a good used race exhaust just drop me a line, will sell mine. Good luck with your choice. BTW, 12 cylinders are simply the best!

 

And the price is?

 

Price i ask in us dollars is 1 thousand excluding shipping costs for the used race exhaust. This is about 1/4 of the original price. The race exhaust is in a good condition and was used about 11.000 miles. Tried both (kubler and eisenmann) the exhausts also with cats, was nice but not what you want if you want the sound of F1 in higher revs. Also i found out that there are a lot of different prices asked for the test pipes, can recommmand Larini in UK.

The sports exhaust that will give the loudest noise and greatest horsepower increase (+15HP) is a muffler free sports sports exhaust system. I have heard one before and it it as loud as a decatted Tubi'd Lambo Gallardo and gives out the latest F1 noise. Because you have catalytic converters fitted, this tends to slightly quieten the sound down to the point where it is not overbearing but just right for you. Finally a muffler free exhaust system for your car is cheap (around $800) and because there is no muffler this is what gives more of a HP increase than any other sports exhaust on the market (+15HP as already stated).
