What can it be if my F430 on cold start up has a rattling resonating sound in the exhaust. Once warmed a bit it disappears. After that you can only hear this at deceleration... Like something is loose ... any ideas or experience?

Sounds like either the lower exhaust brackets might be cracked/vibrating or valved exhaust flaps. Usually when the metal gets warmed up, the sound goes away or decreases.

Check studs on headers that was my issue, one was broken.

Is this the issue we are all warned about... broken headers that weld pieces can get sucked into the engine and you are f*cked. This car has the new headers as it is Dec 2008 production.

Not weld pieces. The stuffing from the cat converter is in the header.Looks like white threads. Mine does the same noise. It is the broken exhaust bracket, likely. I plan to remove them both.
