Thinking of adding an X-ost to the 512TR. Is there a thread on removing the exhaust? Do you need to pull the rear bumper?

    Thanks,

    J.

Yes there have been a couple of write-ups on this topic. You will need to remove the lower valance panel below the rear bumper, but the bumper itself does not need to be removed. The exhaust system is lowered out the bottom of the car.

Its a lot easier if you take the bumper off first (4 bolts), you can then see the 10mm bolts that secure the bottm valance very easily.........

Thanks! I can't find an old post with pics, so if it goes smoothly, maybe I'll shoot some. If it goes poorly, I'll never tell :)

To remove the bumper there are 4 bolts, and also 4 nuts (2 each side) out near each rear quarter panel below the tail light sockets....

I am skeptical of any significant hp boost by anything post cat. If you want hp boost, get high flow cats. I am considering them as well, but it adds a chunk of dough.

US spec cars must be different to Euro cars, my cars bumper has only four large allen bolts securing it, undo them and the bumper slides out, after you unclip the plate light lead, then you can easily get at the many bolts that secure the valance
