Having driven the car now approx 350 miles and always returning it to the same spot in the garage I have noticed a residue from the exhausts as pictured. This is dried but after driving there is moisture associated with what looks like carbon residue.

Is this normal and do others have this same occurrence?

The car runs great, no issues, cels, etc.

    Thank you

Just some water vapor from starting it cold, normal

When the exhaust / cats get hot it burns off

Right. Just some condensation flushing out a bit of soot.

Your garage floor is too clean! :D

I asked a very similar question when I first got my 355.
I was told because the exhaust system of the 355 is so short you get a lot of moisture exiting the tips that would normally be evaporated in a car with a longer exhaust system when starting cold.

When I first went to see my car (before buying), I noticed that. I've not noticed it under my ownership (assume it's because of keeping the car in a heated garage)

You can install a spigot on each side of the tail pipe sections to drain off the water. OR you can just let it burn off under warm up like the rest of us. ;)

    Relax, it's all good.

:O) Seems to be the case. I would agree that it is nothing to worry about and that the only problem is your garage floor is so clean.

Is that a Ferrari part? The spigot. Does Ricambi sell those? Is there are separate one for right and left side? I wonder if I can get something that works at Loews?

This car is history if it keeps making a mess on my new 3.00/sf plastic floor!

    All normal.

How about we see a pic of that garage floor you have there? Maybe it will inspire me to do the same to mine!

Nice garage Dr. I miss the wide open space of NJ

Only thing I use my home garage in LA is simple parking, need to run to the shop to do more then a washing

LOL Tim. The fish eye app on my Iphone can really fool ya. I've got the proverbial 10lbs of stuff in a 5 pound can in that garage. It is minimal in dimensions all around but I can squeeze three vehicles in with room to slither by on the sides. It's nice to get it neat though finally.

The floor is easy to clean. The wife did take a pretty nasty spill on it expecting more traction as she stepped down onto it from the step than what she was used to from the concrete. It has that diamond texture but it is essentially smooth.

Well I have a story to tell about ceiling height and that lift

I have 100 inches which is minimal but the lift fit barely and the height of the two cars barely fits as well. All you need is barely but do the math carefully beforehand. Bendpak has all the msmts for all their lifts on their site. Measure, check , measure again, check again AND if one of the posts in your layout falls under your garage door. , call me!!!!!!

    LOL

Change the red border tiles to black so you won't see the soot. ;)

Bob, if you had a floor like mine you would only have to sweep it once a year. :)
