Let's say I was to convert to a scuderia set up. What's stopping someone literally having 2 straight pipes straight out. I understand they are usually X pipes. On these cars to balance exhaust gasses? And the nice noise? But what would happen just a straight pipe after the headers and cats?
A straight flow of gases is what you get with the Capristo complete system with valves open. You can see the cats glowing. https://youtu.be/iZS0_8VT_4Q
Oh yes so it literally by passes the box totally! Britain video cheers mate. So although might look odd it's possible to actually have two straight pipes! Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
I have straight pipes on my 360 "no muffler". It sounds amazing and obnoxious if you can imagine- Think GSX-R wide open throttle passing your head at red line. I wouldn't recommend doing it plus I do feel bottom end loss in power. It just so happened my car came that way and I am changing it to a 430 stock system to tone it down a bit.
I do have a genuine F430 muffler and tail pipes left over As on my last car it was converted to a kreissegg scuderia system. I do not have the valves however. But the rest of it remains intact
Thanks for the offer, I already picked one up. Car is going in for a major service and going to be installed then. Vincent
Ah ok no problem! So what does the current exhaust look like out of curiosity. Literally just some piping? Btw love how the titanium agency power looks on the scuderia may have to buy that :///
Yeah I agree too.. Here ya go- PS, that's before I owned it! Wow it was dirty!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Another question is whether the F430 Challenge car has the same exhaust spacing (between. The tips) as the scuderia ? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Spacing is different. See http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/465662-f430-new-owner-diary-inc-maintenance-upgrades-5.html
