Exhaust Suggestions?

Obviously the Euro spec headers and the USA headers are different so it would require some different pipe-bending than that shown in post #48 and, of course, if you prefer the stock exhaust tips or prefer one of those in post #50, it's just a matter of attaching them!

The one thing missing with the post #48 system is the bragging rights of, "I spent [X] thousands of dollars on my [usual suspect brand] mufflers!"

 

Hey Nick, I would have to say, from the You Tube Videos, the Capristo is much louder than the Tubi, My car sounds great, even when its on the pipe and I also have a test pipe, TUbi makes a nice muffler, and it fits the USA cars perfectly, and it enhances the stock sound, still period correct, and the build quality is second to none. Nissan 370 Zs stock pipes are louder than my Tubi, I hear them all the time. Capristo work great on a 355, they do not match the sound from the era of the 3 x 8s in my estimation .

is this the 18" flowmaster "moderate sound" muffler?

 

I went with the 12” version which is supposed to be a more aggressive sound.

My mechanics who did the top end sent the headers out for ceramic coating and did the install, including bending the pipes.

Great looking setup you have there and it sounds good. Nice tunnel vid.

 

my euro 308 GTS sounds amazing with these (true dual) magnaflows tucked under the trunk.
