I purchased my TR almost 4yrs ago and the car is running fine. I just performed the engine out service in my garage and would like to reconnect the post cat thermocouplers that were disconnected when I purchased the car. Does anyone know where the thermocouplers after exhaust listed items 53 and 54 connect too?

Thanks for your response but I am totally oblivious to the ECU for the slow down lights. Never heard of the slow down lights.

pull this plate on the passenger side. attached to the backside of the plate you should find two small ‘black boxes’ to which your leads will connect.

the only function is to illuminate the slow down lights in the event of cat overheating. they do not tie into your engine control system.

good idea to keep them functional - an overheated cat can forwarn of big trouble

Agreed! It’s a crappy design! And the sound they make is horrible!! Would rather be deaf than hear that noise!
