I have a 2006 430 with Novitec Exhaust System in great condition but I prefer a quiet exhaust. Is their a replacement can or muffler that is quieter or must I change the entire system from the headers back?
    Thank You for any input. Tom Ruland 321 453 5639 321 432 8369

There are a number of options. Changing the muffler alone will help make it quiet. No need changing everything. Tubi is expensive but they sound great and are not too loud. Do some searching and find one you like.

Do you have a recommendation of which muffler and a source?

There's always the factory original - might even get a good deal swopping for your Novitec depending on where you are located

As noted above there are many alternate exhaust threads in the 430 section

Are you saying that a factory muff will bolt directly to the Novitec pipes?

It does appear to have the correct number of holes and location on the flanges, but is the width of the flange on the Novitec and factory muff the same? It would be nice to hear from someone that has replaced the Novitec muff with a factory muff.
