anybody know what might be wrong with my exhaust system. when the cars revved up the exhaust vavle opens and it sounds amazing but on my way home it went quiet on me, the solenoid valve was replaced last year in verdis so i dont know if thats the problem or it is something else?? please help!! i was meant to be taking the car to auto italia show tomorrow morning.....................................
Sounds like the solenoid valve again, whether its it actual solenoid or the wiring can't tell over the net!. best solution is to just wire it open
how do i do that??? i have taken the two plugs off at the valve one black and one blue gave them a good clean and spray with wd40 but no difference!!! if u get this reply soon can u let me know how to wire it open so that i can do it thisafternoon cheers m8.
nice one andrew, got a length of brake cable from halfords for £2.00 and have jammed it up similar to the pic in the link, it was easy i just hooked the cable round the bottom pulled it up and tied each end up under the jubilee clips on each air filter box and it worked!!!! i noticed the warning light on the dash flashing a few times at low speed the one at the bottom right flashing red saying slow down?? any ideas ?? it only came on after i jammed the valve open. do u think thats related or am i just having a real bad day!!!!!!!!!!!! it sounds really loud now but sooooo good maybe not for my neighbours. ha!
It happens due the valve being open its nothing to worry about I think(if I remember correctly) its caused because the CATS cannot determine the correct temp and set the light off by default.
