Yes, i have purchased several of the books for gifts.....(my 250 ellena is in the book) - however, i read it cover to cover and it is very interesting to the discoveries and finds of the published exotics.

I bought this, and was disappointed. I mean it is ok, but far from great, and the coverage of some cars is inconsistent, especially on the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato.... all the photos of it are of the restored car!! Also coverage on the ex-Scarab - Cobra transporter is also very poor.

Overall it was about a 50/50 split of what I have already seen before and new that had some interest. I would never pay full price for this book; I bought mine discounted on Amazon.

The issue is the author doesn't have first hand accounts of the majority of the barn finds.

That cover Ghibli is my find, along with the other two that accompanied it and the Lola. Also, the Allemano A6G I found in Mass, and the story is an amazing one. But the way he wrote it is lame, it's more fact spouting than story.

Oh well, I figured out what I have to do! Write my own :)

The DB5 in my FChat image is another good story, who knows, maybe someone would pay to hear it lol.

    Hi,

Anybody have any idea how it would compare to the Tom Cotter series i.e Cobra in the Barn et al. ?

    Regards,

I haven't read this book so it would be unfair to comment on it. As a general rule, though, I think Stone's books are entertaining but very superficial.
