Anyone been to this sham? Tried to go in last week to talk to them about a car they had...treated me as if I had the plauge or something. I realize they get a lot of lookers, but if I go up to the sales guy asking specific questions about service history and records, wouldn't you think I was interested or at the least bit serious? I couldn't even see the car from the boutique so he had to know I saw it somewhere else. He had to know that I knew something about it, and came with a purpose. The dude wouldn't even show me the car after I paid $5 to go inside of their crappy show room. I stood by the car for 5 minutes, no one even said hello. Sad part was, it was a 355 spider, not even something "super exotic" that most people drool all over. Hell, I just wanted a daily driver from Vegas. Would have paid up to make it fun. Oh well, guess they didn't need my money.
I heard a story that they were having trouble getting their dealers license or something of the sort? Or was that figured out?
Yes, they did have problems. They "opened" the store in early April last year, but were not finally licensed to sell cars until September or October.
I see, thanks for the information, for some reason I thought they were still unlicensed. My assumption is that they're shooting for an ignorant wealthy buyer who just wants a Ferrari. Maybe they're not looking for the type of buyer that's going to ask about service questions, whether the f355 had manifolds and valve guide done and the likes. Or maybe both posters just got the same salesman who for some reason doesn't want any commission. It's hard to say, but it still sucks they treated a serious buyer like this.
FWIW, if for some reason you want to buy a car in Las Vegas, I suggest you visit Lamborghini LV. You will find you receive the DEAD OPPOSITE of the treatment described above. I have just about never found a dealership more accomodating, courteous, etc.
Thats too funny. I was there this weekend for the Rolling Stones concert and stopped by to see the green Lambo in the entrence.I enquired about it. The person working the counter said they had no price for it as it was an attraction. The answer went something like " they don't sell the fat lady when you go to the carnival". WTF is up with that place? They can't possibly sell enough T shirts and $5 tickets to pay the rent in that space, can they?
Sounds like they are counting on drunken casino winners for customers Otherwise it could be a money laundering scheme like some other dealerships I can name
Yes, I believe it is owned by Richard Weisman, who had a place called Exotic Cars Wholesale, somewhere in FL.
Haven't had much direct experience with this shop, but when I think of them, more negative thoughts are conjured up than positive. And that can't be a good thing. Oh well, another one on the "list" of shops to avoid dealing with.
It's more of a ploy to lure people into the casino. Come look at the pretty cars! Then get pissed up against the wall and gamble your money away. The money laundering sounds like a good theory as well.
I heard that was a Penske UAG point. Doesnt sound like it from the stories ive seen on this forum, especially this thread. I usually dont buy cars from dealers anyway... I do better w/ private party sales.
Penske co-owns the Ferrari dealership at the Wynn hotel/casino. ECACP is a totally different operation.
I have had experience with Richard in the past; he would F anyone for a sale. I just traded my 2004 360 spider for a 2004 CS(which I love) and the offer they gave me was embarrassing. They are absolute retards there. I got my car from Silicon Valley and had an absolutely flawless experience.
I heard they were associated with a shady outfit in Scottsdale that has traded in various locations and is now trading under Scottsdale Exotic cars - fellow named Naz or something or other.
This thread sounds like a bunch of gosip. I am sorry that the original poster was blown off. That shouldn't happen. But if I had a $1 for every arrogant Fcar sales guy that I have run into over the years.......I would have an Enzo. This store and the people that run it are straight. I have known them for years and they have always done right by me. No scams, shams or otherwise. If you really want a car from them PM me and I will hook you up with the right people that really run the show there. If one doesn't have personal experience with someone or something, try not to speculate.........
I do know of both who started this operation and I have both communicated by e-mail and phone and have been supportive of them on this site when they ran into licensing problems when they started. However, the message the original poster was making is quite clear and well taken: If he expresses an interest he should not need an invitation or 2nd party introduction. He should be considered for the person he/she is. If the two partners continue to conduct business in this manner, they will not stay in business. I can tell you that I had e-mailed them recently about a car they had for sale. Despite my prior support of them, they ignored me and did not respond. I have commented on this forum about other dealer's obnoxious sales practices. This now has to fit within those parameters both for the experience I had recently as well as for the one that started this thread. There is no room in business to treat a customer in this matter regardless of what is being offered for sale.
My best friend's father is the one of the vice presidents at caesars palace in Vegas, and, he told me that you wouldnt believe how many people will pay $5 just to look at theses cars, in fact he also told me that is is one of caesars best attractions, the highlight of going there was getting hooked up with an exotic-cars watch. Take it from me, skip exotic cars and head straight to the club, "pure" if you want real satisfaction, the last time I went there the *****cat dolls were there hanging out drinking crystal, that should be enough to sell ya! P.S. I heard the lambo joint in the wynn is in fact better, have not been there yet but thats what I hear.
The "joint" at the Wynn is a Ferrari dealership. The Lambo dealership in Vegas is off the Strip ... not in a hotel.
