Are any of you aware of an exotic car club or fractional ownership like Club Sportiva based in the Twin Cities Metro? Opinions if there were such a club?

This idea comes up from time to time.

Everyone gets to drive everyone's car whenever they want.

Sounds like a good way to wreck a few cars.

We're working on it. www.clubtourismo.com Based in Minneapolis. Just outside of downtown.

In our model, the club owns the fleet of cars and Founding Members are given fractional ownership. The rest of the members would still enjoy access to the cars and the events. Very similar to a Country Club membership.

Feel free to check out the new website and drop us a line.

Guess I waited too long to start my own club. Best of luck.

Nice website, good luck with your business. Will be cool to see more exotics around town. Nice choices for cars. What color combos are your current cars? Any plans to get a 430 in that group?

I was a member in Club sportiva in San Francisco during 2003/4 and it was some of the best money I've ever spent. At that point they had been around I think 3 years and they had only one incident with one of the older corvettes at that time...and one guy bent the rim on the maserati (which they charged him I believe $1,500 for)....needless to say I drove it delicately when I took it out.

I guess I should have looked at the link first.....when I was in C.S. my annual fee was something like $6k (WAY BELOW) the $18k they are talking about here....additionally the Club Sportiva fleet was more vintage and foreign...Jaguar XKE, Morgan 8, Triumph TR4, Aston Vantage, Lotus S4, mid-90's 911 CabC4, F-308, Bentley Turbo 8, and the list goes on....having only 4 brand new cars is extremely pricey.

Club Tourismo has a nice website but few details and no history.

It looks more like someone's dream ($18,000 a year) than a real club.

It doesn't look like there are any cars yet and nobody has actually paid a membership fee yet.
