In case you have some time on Saturday, September 18 come over to Wheeling and take a look at some truly exotic cars. There will be about a dozen Ferraris on display as well, including of course Russ' Enzo.

Check the picture for details. Admission is free btw.

    I spoke to Russ today.

At last count, there will be 17 Ferraris there.

So far, 1 Roller as I'm bringing mine.

I'm trying to line up some other Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Aston Martins to show.

Unfortunately, it's the same weekend as the Historic Races in Elkhart Lake; seems most people I've called will be there.

How much is registration? Is it just show up and enjoy? Its a nice restaurant. I am tempted to bust out a Roller car just to make Skip a little less special but there will probably be other Rollers there anyway.

PS: Do they have enough space?

Well,I just called the number (847-444-9444) for Chad Coe,that was listed on the Ad in this thread. I left a message. Hope that it's not too late to sign up.

Sounds like fun. 17 Plus Ferrari's...."Oh Boy!" (Which, incidentally,is one of the Band,"Off Broadway's" songs from one of their Albums...And,the Band thats playing,"Off Broadway" has been a local Chicago Favorite since the late 70's early '80's. It's the first band I ever saw when I snuck into The Thirsty Whale when I was not quite of age, (which was 19 for Beer and Wine back then....:) ) They have a couple Albums out. I have one of them,"On". Great 80's "Power Pop" style music. (My Wife family knows the Singer's family)

I don't know if there's a registration fee; nothings been said.

"I am tempted to bust out a Roller car just to make Skip a little less special but........"

    Go for it, Grasshopper!!!

Seriously David, let me know if you are coming.

If you are, I need to know which car you'll bring, so I can pass the info on to Russ.

I don't think there will be any other Rollers there, unless I can convince some friends not to go to the Historic Races in Elkhart Lake.

    Post to my email address.

    Opps, pressed wrong icon...

I will send you a PM as well. Weather pending I will dust off my grandfather's Roller and try to show up. It needs to be detailed a bit and I will have to do that Saturday morning. Im sure you'll be happy to see a mid 80s Spur, but all the years of neglect in a Florida garage has taken a slight toll on the interior. Speaking of which, if Ivan tears into the SW tip of FLA in the next few hours I won't be in town anyway as I will have to travel south to make sure my condo and home are alright.

If my friends will go along, I will let them drive my H2. Though that needs a cleaning as well after I had the brilliant idea to drive my god-daughter and her buddies back home after their youth soccer match.

Oh if I could only just show off the cars like they're museum pieces like Dave and Andreas do. I waxed the 575 the day before Hooters, maybe that is why it came out orange. Damn that Zymol!

    Frank-

The proceeds from the show in Wheeling go to charity; does the same hold true for "the big Car Show down by the Plenetarium "??

By the way, what the heck is "the Plenetarium"? :)

Must be a place rich with tar. Oh nevermind.

Wheeling is turning out to be a really cool show. Aside from all the other exotic cars, there are going to be over a dozen Ferraris of all different kinds up to an Enzo. Should be good.

The hell with the cars, I say!

The Luvabulls are going to be there; that's the real reason why I'm going to attend. ;)

My wife and I are going to take a ride up in my 85 308. I can not get there until 12:30 or 1:00. Frank, I played in a band named East Street at the Thirsty Whale on the same circuit as Off Broadway. I am looking forward to seeing them play again. See you Tomorrow.

Ah that one. Yeah, but it got closed down by the mayor over night with a bunch of bull dozers.

PS: Reminds of the old SNL spoof about France, which lies right next to Frence. Hey, it's the weekend, have a beer and chill out!

How would you not know Russ when living in Chicago? I mean how could you miss a F50 and an Enzo?

No, he doesn't post here. Actually he even has trouble reading this stuff, but hopefully that'll change going forward.

That F50 was neat. :) But it went in order to get the Enzo! That's okay. His silver CGT makes up for it, I'd say. He's a really nice guy. It's so funny that he's legendary around here!

Pictures from today. A few comments:

    - Check out Dave's hood. Shiny like a mirror.
    - Poupon in Skip's Roller.
    - Rocketboy's engine.
    - The star of the show: Russ' Enzo with Da Lovabulls
    - But that doesn't mean a 308 can't get a piece of the glory...
    - However Da Lovabulls really loved Jerry's car. They even took pics of each other sitting in it. Way to go Jerry! Must be those rims...

There's something about the female form and Ferraris that spells art in the purest form. These girls were great to photograph. They seemed just as pleased as we were being behind the lens. They sure weren't shy about modeling for us. Having them there was a great touch. Not just another car show.

Andreas beat me to this post, but in case you didn't get enough of the Chicago Luvabulls here's more.

David (Rocketboy) was there with his 575 F1 and ladyfriend. David threw the keys to Andreas for a spin. Chelle & Kim also were there with the blue Lambo. Skip (Da-Rolls) showed his 75' Roller.

Be sure to view them all, theres some nice close up shots.
So, which Luvabull is your favorite ?

What an awesome array of cars to see! Russ' cars were the highlights for me but the exit of the Challenge Stradale and the exit of the GT3 made my day. Both went nuts and it was awesome! If any of you witnessed this, then you know what I'm talking about. The CS almost smashed into a van but he recovered and proceeded to redline in the first 2 gears. The GT3 hit redline and fish-tailed like crazy as it completed its turn. Most of the ferrari's had nice exits, but those 2 were the best. After most of the cars left, other exotics showed up. A blue 355 spyder, a silver SRT-10, a yellow 360 coupe, and a sweet blue Gallardo (pictured). The results from the voting were kind of ridiculous. How did a 360 coupe take the prize over an Enzo and a CGT??!? Anyone else think the Dino was nearly flawless? Few quick questions. What other cars are in Russ' collection, and by chance, anyone know how he makes a living? I have a feeling he's doing ok for himself.

Well that's my rant, hope you guys enjoyed the show as much I did.

(I have a few short clips of a few ferrari's hauling out of the parking lot, PM me with your email if you want to check them out)
