I can not find where this has been mentioned yet, but I was just reading today that part of Richard Petty Driving at Disney, they started the Exotic Driving Experience. You will be able to rent the following cars:

    Ferrari 458
    Lamborghini LP570-4 Superlegga
    Lamborghini LP550-4
    Porsche 997 S
    Audi R8

The price will range from $199 (Porsche) to $389 (Ferrari) for six laps. You can buy more laps if you want.

I am going to try the Ferrari out this weekend.

Let us know how it went... I'm planning on doing it too. Just did the Gotham Dream Car tour in Miami - what a blast!

Attended a preview event last week for www.ExoticDriving.com and drove the Ferrari 458 Italia...great experience. Thought I would love the straightaway because of the high speed (which I did love) but I really enjoyed the interior road course section even more than I thought I would, very exciting, quick switchbacks. That car is unbelievable, really breathtaking....

I am really looking forward to it. How fast did you get to go on the straightaway? What gear did you even get into?

    Thanks.

Scott,I have seen speeds around 127mph before the heavy breaking before entering the infield. Lap times are 58-59 sec. On an in car video that I seen with Christian Fittipaldi driving the 458, he reached 129mph. As far as shifting is concerned, short shifting applies. Fifth gear is reached, but each gear is not rev'd out. If the instructor is comfortable with your skills he allows you to do more.
The Ferrari 458 Italia has no faults IMO. It was addicting, can not wait to do it again.

    Horse-power,

Thanks for pictures. I went this morning and wow.... what an experience. Unfortunately, they were not using the red 458 this morning, they were using the black one. Just personal preference, but I was looking forward to driving a red 458.

The car is absolutely awesome... It is scary fast. It would have been nice to have a longer stretch to open it up, but you still get an opportunity to shift it through a few gears. They don't really let you rev it up too high, so you can get through more gears. The quickest I got up to was 110. The breaking is unreal. You go from that fast to slowing down to second gear to make a hard right turn to start the road course.

The instructors are very helpful. It is just a lot of info to take in as you are also trying to navigate through the course.

I recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to try it again and try to improve on my times.

Sounds like you had a great time. I was thinking of doing that soon but wasn't sure if the track would be big enough to really open it up. Also if it would be worth the money for 5 laps.
