I did the same experience in Fontana, Ca. Its the same company but diff location. I drove a 430, 458 and 570S for 5 laps each. I had a blast. The instructors were awesome. Driving the cars at full speed is how it should be done! The cars really come alive when pushed. I had enough know how to hop in and hammer down but they did help here and there with some line choices etc. If youre brand new to all if it, they can get you around the track just fine im sure.
    Short version.....DOOOOO IT!!!:)

(Side note....it really helped with my car shopping. After that day i crossed the 570S off the list and have not looked back at it. It was a huge let down. :/ )

I've done it many times. few things of note:

    1. McLaren was a let down, yes. and all Lambo were a let down. but that's because they have them in "normal" mode. Some cars (570s and Lambos) were very intrusive. cars just handled badly. Instructors there have all commented that some of the cars when in "sport" mode transforms: like Huracan, that goes from a 5 to a 9 with a mode change.

    2. Instructor (right seat passenger) is probably the most important of all. Bad ones will stab brakes for you (yeap, they have their own brake pedal), good ones will let you play. You can request particular instructors. wait for them to be available.

    3. know the track beforehand, learn it first by watching Youtube video, so you aren't overwhelmed and miss out the experience.

    4. for cars in normal mode. best ones (at Fontana) are 458, 997.2 GT3, Audi V10+.
