I've found many companies that offer nation-wide delivery.. But every company seems to peak at "Weekly" rates. Does anyone know of a Rental company out there that offers a longer rental option.. 3-6 weeks perhaps? Preferably in Chicago? I do NOT want to do one of those "car timeshares".. the entire concept is ridiculous considering any one of the other "owners" could crash the car at anytime. I'm looking for a simple way to rent a Gallardo for 3-6 weeks, obviously competitive rates would be expected considering the length of the rental. Anyone got advice?

Try http://www.classiccarshare.com/Index.html, they're part of Exotic Car Share. I know they're planning on purchasing a Lambo, though I don't know which model. Give them a call; maybe you can work out a deal? It might help to ask for George; he's the owner.
Exotic Car Share (classiccarshare) IS a time-share program. I don't think they do straight out rentals. If you want a Gallardo to rent, try Steve Bandovich at Cloud 9 Rental 630-707-RENT. I sold Steve a few of his cars. If he won't rent you the car for 6 weeks, he can put you in touch with a place that will. Good luck and let me know if you need more info.
There is such a company. Somewhere in my pile I lost their biz card. But they were a sponsor at "Ferraris on Oak Street" (so somebody from the FCA board could dig up their website etc) this year. I know they have a 360 for rent. Is about 1k for a day. I know cause I was/still am interested in renting that for a nice summer day.
Things have changed, check the site: http://www.classiccarshare.com/Index.html This is a different program than http://www.exoticcarshare.com/, now called Curvy Road. In fact, there's some talk about doing away with the fractional ownership that is part of Exotic Car Share.
Darolls, Thanks for the updated info. I know George and Kathy put out a lot of effort to try to promote the fractional ownership idea, and I tried to promote them as much as I could, but I found that most of the guys I talked would rather put 20% down and finance the balance, as opposed to owning 20% and having to own it with four others. They are the pioneers in the area though when it comes to exotic fractional ownership.
And they are doing well! They've retained additional office space a few doors down from their current location. Skippity
Its going to be cheaper for me to purchase a Gallardo and rent it to Friends/Contacts. Working out the details with my insurance contacts. 8 weeks = $20,000 (3 weeks summer, 3 weeks spring or fall, 2 weeks early spring or late fall). Nothing official.. Playing around with the numbers. Just trying to reward myself some free rentals.. a little something for the effort wouldnt be bad either.
