    Need recommendation for tires dealer specialized in 'hard to find' sizes. My rear tires are aging a bit and my usual guys can't seem to find a replacement. Given the AWD on my car, I'm very particular about this specific size so need to find a good guy who can work with me. Please feel free to post or PM me. Tx in advance.

    Are you referring to Tirerack in US? If so, I've already checked and they don't have the size I want.

    If you're referring to tirerack elsewhere, would appreciate some contact info via email/PM. Tx.

    I remember reading about from Top Gear UK that Pirelli or Michelin will actually do the tire according to customer's own spec? Has anyone tried that?

    If tirerack.com in the US doesn't have it, you may find it impossible to find here. Did you look for the size in different brands, or did you only look for the size in a specific brand?

    I've long given up buying tires here in HK and just have them fedexed from tirerack - much wider selection, fresher tires (as DM18 pointed out in a different thread), and still 25%+ cheaper even including shipping. I take them down to Wai Kee on Gloucester and they install for a few hundred HKD. Easy.

    BTW, funny story about buying tires here. The local Michelin importer asked me what car I had, then refused to sell me the tire I wanted because the size didn't match the OEM size. I explained I have aftermarket rims and they then insisted I didn't own the car that I own. I emailed him my VRD and explained again it was irrelevant because I have aftermarket rims. They still refused to believe that I wanted the size I wanted and said they couldn't sell it to me! Really odd. Since then I've just ordered from the US. So much easier.

    Try Tempe Tyres in Sydney Australia. They Ship and have all the tyre sizes. I bought my Pirelli 355 R19s that I run on my 550 from them. They were far cheaper there than the states for the same tyre. Regards Gary.

    You can try Gold Rich. Look them up on FB.

    They do tires and rims for all kinds of exotics. I have never tried, but many of my friends are loyal customers.
