Didn't see anything in the forums on this dealer in Pittsburgh. Considering purchasing from this dealer and would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with them. PM me would be preferable. Thanks Steve
heard a few good things about them. Talked to them when i was looking but didn't go out there. afaik they are not ferrari specialists.
Used to be a top notch place. A guy named Fuzzy ran it. A couple of years ago he got some investers and they opened a big new store. Huge showroom open service bays a nice lounge, etc. Something happened and Fuzzy left, I don't know the specifics. When he ran the place it was nice palce to go to and hang out with other gear heads. Under the new management the place feels different. Not as freindly kind of quiet. The new manager used to manage the Toy Store in Florida. Place really seems different. Howard the service manager also has gone. Joe the Ferrari tech I believe is still there. They seemed to have stopped focusing on Ferrari and have become a high end used car dealer.
The Toy Store connection is not good. There have had numerous threads on their business practices. Due to this if I bought from them I would really inspect the car prior to purchase and get it up on lift. Look up former owners if possible.
Just looked at their inventory. Hteu lis only one Ferrari. When Fuzzy ran the place there would be at least 5 maybe more Ferraris a couple of Lambos and somme tricked out Porches. Now it looks like just another high end used car place. With few exotics
Joe is still at Exoticars and is an excellent Ferrari mechanic knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. As with any other seller it would be wise to get a PPI. Fuzzy is now at NorthEast Auto Exchange: neautoexchange.com. It appears that he is trying to expand their exotic cars sales; the web site shows several Ferraris in stock.
Thanks for the input. Fuzzy was there when I visited the store a little over 1 year ago. RJ is the guy running it from the Toy store. Spoke with him several times on the phone. Seemed ok. I am doing my due diligence and researching the vehicle as much as possible. If I pursue it, I have lined up a PPI with a 3rd party that has no interest in the vehicle. I will check out the NE Auto Exchange though. Any other comments will be appreciated. Steve
Went there this winter to look at a car. Turned out the leakdown numbers were off according to test they (Joe) performed. I thought they were at least honest. Looked at their site yesterday and it seems to now focus more on Bently's and general high end cars where last winter it was more Ferrari Lambo and Porsche.
