Hello Tri-state, PA and other east coast F-chatters - Announcing the 2nd annual 'Exoticarshow' coming up on September 24, 2006 in Frenchtown NJ. Focus is on Italian exotics but there will be a smattering of English and other European sportscars. Full details and pictures from last year's show are here: http://www.exoticars-usa.com/carshow2006.html We are busy planning prizes for the Concours d'Elegance and assuring good food for the event. Please put this on your calendars! Sandy de Groot Image Unavailable, Please Login
This was a great event last year, and not the usual mix of cars either. The late September date gives us the possibility of comfortable weather, given that alot of the shows in early summer make you suffer from unbearable heat. The town of Frenchtown is also quaint and charming in a way that New Hope was, maybe 20 years ago. I plan to be there.
Yep, I don't know how Wil and Sandy arranged it, but that free roundtrip to Paris on the Concorde, with dinner at Guy Savoy, and two nights in the Crillion, certainly was better than the average prize for winning a concours.
hey! wait a minute! For second prize I got a self-guided tour of Jersey City! Guess I'll have to do a better job of waxing this time.
Bill, thanks for the plug!! Clyde, any more jokes about the Jersey City prize and there's no lemonade for you at the show. Didn't you get your postcard from Paris? Sandy
rohan-how you been? 1-it was 189 degrees with 200% humidity last year, and i would def. go back this year 2-can you change the dates please, ill be in miami thank you, carry on
Its to bad this event is on the same date as the Festa di Ferrari of Stamford. I would love to attend both but I have already made a comittment to attend the event in Stamford.
Do you have a Ferrari? Stamford - Frenchtown = 104 miles, 2 hrs each way...both shows doable... but do Frenchtown first Sandy
I plan on going to this event because im only in Union County about 1.5 hours away. Those who went last year, who many people were there at the show?
We didn't have a clicker last year - maybe 500- 600 people, 50 cars. This year should be better with cooler weather. Hope you will make the show, Sandy
So, who is going to the event? I'll be arriving in Frenchtown Saturday afternoon, staying at that charming little inn, and heading over the show Sunday morning.
no, nothing against bruce, there is a nice little 'country inn' in downtown frenchtown-we stayed there last year- decent restaurant, too. http://www.frenchtownnational.com/ haven't spoken to brucie for a while. has he been mia?
