Well after spending alot of time out there on the road as of late i notice the common patrin of sports cars and exotics and have notice there are alot of corvettes, NSX here and qute a few Vipers as well. Most around gardens of the gods. I spent my whole life here in this little hick town have only seen 2 Lamborghinis in my 20year life time and 7 Ferraris. Iv'e seen more tornados! and im starting to give up hope that i will never get to see a real hardcore supercar like the Veyron, Zonda and Mclaren F1 in my life time unless i travel another city.

The only two i have seen was a Carrera GT and a Ferrari Enzo and both where only for a slpit second. I have seen a Lamborghini Diablo red and a Blue countach which is parabaly fake. And a few weeks ago a Ford GT but that is about it and that really isn't that cool because its a Ford. Most people say yeah there are exotics around here like the Murcielago, Gallardo, Mclaren F1, Ferrari F40, F50, Enzo and yet I don't see them around insead i find hotrods, lowriders, and tricked out ricers.

    The car culture here sucks.

Well, keep in mind most people don't drive their exotics every day, whereas most people driver their ricers every day. Also, the ricer to exotic ratio is probably 500:1.

I lived there for three years. The red Diablo was my nieghbor (real car). The blue one is a replica and likes to drive outside the Hooters at the mall on Fridays. Saturday afternoons (after 4:00 PM) go to Grocery Warehouse on Powers to see lots of cars and a few exotics.

You could join the FCA and attend the yearly Spring Fling at the Garden of the Gods Club, as well as events in Denver. About 50 Ferraris from around the state. Last year before I moved, there was a 288 GTO, F40, many 308s, couple of 360s, and some older classics. All (but mine) had Colorado plates, so they are out there.

Could be worse, there are six Ferraris here.

Very valid. How many of us are lucky enough to be within an hour of a dealer, two hours to Dave Helms' shop, 20 minutes to Pikes Peak Racetrack, and in the middle of a very active FCA chapter. Check out the Colorado/Denver spotters thread. Go to Concourso cars in Old Colorado City, attend the Denver Grand Prix. It's out there, just not driving around Academy Blvd. in the Springs on a Friday evening.

In fact, I did not dig Colorado much, but the Ferrari community through FoD and FCA made it fun.

I live in Colorado Springs and have a Ferrari 360 spider. It's red/tan, and I drive it quite often. Of course, I just got it a month ago but I'm sure you'll see me around. I had seen a red Diablo around town now and then last year, but not anymore. I love cars, so I wish there were more exotics in the area.

I have a friend with a Viper from the Springs as well if that counts. Just not too many exotic cars in the area. Of course, I don't see many in Denver either, but it's a big town. It's not like LA or Miami, where you see them every day. I did see the guy who owns American Furniture in a Ferrari last year in the Springs. I think he was visiting his store. Every now and then...

I thought about driving the F-car around today, but with the threat of rain I took one of the other cars for running around this morning.

Since we are on the subject of the Springs- has anybody gone for Sunday brunch at the Broadmoor? I was thinking that this could be a good group (fchat) gathering :)

my mom sees more exotics driving around on an avrage and ordinay day and she isnt out on the road that offen. I guess living on the south end of town by scurity fountain you will see nothing but ricers, trucks and hicks. its like that paul wall video "they don't know" lol. seing an exotic around this place is like seing a UFO. i have seen more tornados than exotics and im not kidding.

No, you're not going to see many exotics in Fountain/Security (no wonder you've seen more tornados! LOL!), but that doesn't mean they arent out there. There are prolly as many here in COS per capita, as there are in Denver. Just yesterday I saw a 997 Turbo, a sweet Viper coupe, and a red BMW Z1, not to mention 2 vintage E-Types and a whole pile of C5 and C6 Vettes, all while driving around top down in my mid-engined sportscar. I also had 2 seperate reports of an XJ-220 rolling thru town last Thursday.

Get outta the 'hood and hang around downtown if you wanna see exotics on a semi-regular basis. Or better yet, go to the CdE on the 4th to take in a whole years worth of exotics!

Trust me i can't stand the hood lol!. I have seen very few ferraris and fewer lambos but thats it. I think my best bet is to go up towards powers were they have that weekly car show or whatever it is.

The impromtu show at Powers and Constitution is pretty cool, but it's 99% hot rods and musclecars. I go semi-regularly, and I've only seen one F car (nice 308 2 weeks ago) and a coupla NSXs from time to time. I havent seen any Panteras there in awhile, but you just never know about that place.

I still say your best bet is sitting al fresco on Tejon during the weekend. There's usually something/someone interesting passing by every few minutes. :^)

There was a McLaren F1 in Aspen on Saturday along with many other exotics from the Players Run.
