Exotics in Springfield, Il

458 again today in Peoria. Very nice day for cars!

 

Lamborghini Gallardo and 996 Turbo today in Peoria.

 

Ferrari 308, 328, 360, and a Scud in Springfield going down Veterans.

 

The Scud sure got dirty during the weekend drive, but at least I only have one car to clean! I think people were surprised to see us driving on the messy roads.

 

So did mine, we took all of them out and had a fun little convoy. Sorry you couldn't make it Vipernut.

We have to get together next time to get a group shot. We are only missing a few generations.....hopefully not for too much longer ;-)

 

Did the Springfield area group receive the FCA notice for the May event in Champaign, IL. Peoria folks are considered part of the Chicago Region so you would have received the notice from Greg McKibben/Pete Consolo. There may be a requirement for FCA membership or attend with an FCA member; not sure.

Saw an Aston Martin DB6 in Downtown Peoria Heights yesterday. Beautiful car.

Saw a nice f12 on 72 going around Decatur today. Definitely didnt fit in with the scenery at all.

 

Im pretty sure it was the Rosso Corsa one posted on the previous page, although it was getting later in the afternoon, and it was overcast. The craziest spot of my road trip yesterday was a Lotus Espirit V8 around Lebanon Missouri.

Hear it was a great turnout with folks from Chicago, Indy, Cincinnati, Springfield and St. Louis all coming. You even had the national FCA president there. Wish I could have made it.

I saw just over 100 on the expected attendee list then there were some additional invites by the host.

That must be your blue 458 I see out North now & then?

There are about 15 Ferraris in town, mostly red 355 spyders. One other 458 (Nero) that will be heading West soon (local Pharmacist), several 360 (including my Stradale), a few 430, a lone F12 (Cat attorney), a Mondial, etc.

I see mostly all at some point during the season for maintenance, track prep or service minder reset.

 

Hey Michael - that's cool! You're absolutely right with the 458. Where are all these guys with their F cars? Do you know all of them? Been here for a few years but did not see any. Are you in Peoria too?
