    Gentlemen,

Anyone who pre-orders from Exoto should have their head examined! After waiting almost 4 years for two "pre-ordered" models to arrive, I've been told to be patient!!! One will supposedly arrive in the next few months and the other in 6 to 8 more months! Of course, at this point in time, I don't believe a word they say.

    Totally Disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rightfully so... IMO, the next Ferrari model to be released by Exoto will be this F2 which they just announced. I, like others, get the regular Exoto emails. It's very easy to spot the trend in their release habits. First, it shows up on the webiste as "Coming Soon!" Next, it is "announced" very much in the same manner as the F2 was this morning. Following that, there's a slew of weekly email updates urging collectors to "Pre-Order Now!" And finally, a pre-arrival notice is sent. The model is usually released within a week or two of that notice.

There have been no such announcements for Ferrari models (except this one) in a very, very long time, so for them to say that another is just around the corner is absolute B.S.

Luckily you won't have to worry about this anymore since you gave up your 1/18 collection.

I very rarely pre-order; I have only done it twice as I know and trust Kevin at scale18.com to be a stand-up guy from a history of doing business with them. I did pre-order a CMC 250GT from him and it arrived the day he said it would. I have now pre-ordered a BBR 375 from Kevin, but do not think the Exoto 500 F2 will get the nod.
To me pre-ordering is an immense leap of faith for the buyer in the die-cast market.

Mark at Replicarz is still carrying Exotos. Your card will not be charged until the model arrives and is *shipped*... Additionally, if you change your mind, you can always just cancel with no penalty. Give 'im a shot -

Put ten bucks into your savings account. By the time Exoto releases the model it will have accumulated enough interest to match the 239 bucks.

I was looking at the model and photos of the original - the F2 will for many be the smallest 1/18th model yet one of the most expensive. If it is truly to scale, it will be a very physically small model.
