Exoto Ferrari 126C2

Yeah... I too got an email from Exoto today and I just about shot my load when I saw this 126 C2 pre-order offer... but "hold on"... I heard from the grapevine that it won’t be available until Q4 2007, or who the hell know when Exoto will make due on their launch dates and as “I’m thinking of it now”… they haven’t made one yet as I know of. We might be waiting a long time still. I still can't believe that the 500 F1 Ferrari is NOW shipping, even before CMC's 500 F1 Ferrari which I know its a tie for the level of detail on each model from both companies, I know it’s going to be awesome when I get mine about five days. I would have to say that 126 C2 is my all time favorite F1 Ferrari.

 

That's good news! Took such a long time, I thought they 'd stopped!

Oh wow. Hmm, *IF* they ever come out with the C126 I will have to buy it, simply because Exoto is so good. But I'm not holding my breath. They've been announcing that car (and many others) for years.

Well, I started really collecting from Schumi's successes, then I also bought everything I could from before! Many missing, especially 70's and 80's, too expensive nowadays! The most important is the 328 in the garage...1/1 scale!

 

Looks a lot like my collection with the difference that I tried my best to not have that many MS in the cars.

LOL, yes.

To me a collection of just MS is a tad unimaginative (sorry). I much rather showcase who else was driving the F1 cars for Ferrari at the time. All the forgotten heroes that made the success possible: Burti, Badoer, Gene, Salo etc.

The thing that ticks me off the most are people who buy original F1 cars of the 2nd driver and then repaint the car for the #1 driver. That's so pathetic. At all the F1 meets out there all you see are Lauda or Schumacher cars. You never see a Regazzoni, Irvine or Barrichello car.

 

heh, yeah that is pretty dumb. I'll bet the Regazzoni-cars have gone up in value just now (ok, very stupid joke. I apologize).

Are there any 126 C2's left by the way? Together with the 641/2 this particular car is, to me, the best looking F1 Ferrari to date.

 

Not a dumb statement at all. But sadly not even a dead Regazzoni can financially outweigh a living Lauda.

 

Yeah, I also wonder who owns them now? I think the 126's were the best looking F1 cars even today's F1 design standards. What's the value of a 1:1 126 C2 worth today... Anyone know?
