    I have fitted it to 3 cars including my own. Its probably the best controller on the market and is very easy to install.

    I had used this on my F430 when I had one. Same comments as above. Very simple and does exacatly what it intends to do.

    The question you have is... why do I need this?

    Let's see:: $375 versus maybe $10 of wire, $10 switch, $1 resistor, $1 diode and a bit of stoogery* for the same effect. $22 versus $375 Hmmmmm

    (*) with no disrespect to self respecting stooges.

    That's not wiring the valve open physically, it's installing a switch in the cabin that energises the solenoid. My 5.2 has this setup and it works great, with no lights on the dash.

    The switch activates the vacuum solenoid, the diode prevents the ECU from knowing.
