I purchased a CPO GTS late august 2021

Took it in for my first service and they said my tires are good as far as wear as there is lots of tread and only 6K miles or so. But Ferrari states tires should be replaced every 4 years. I said I just bought the car CPO from them not too long ago and they said if they were expired they would have been replaced.

I pick up the car and look at the date code on the car tires and they say they were made in the 27th week of 2017. This would indicate the time I purchased in 8/28/21 they were expired at the time of sale?

Should the dealer replace the tires?

I thought it was 6 years by Ferrari.

Dealer should replace those tires. When I traded my 458 at the Ferrari dealer, they noted my tires, though lots of tread, where older and needed replacing. They would take the cost of the tires off my trade.

Although ideal every 48 months is likely seldom performed given the amount these cars are driven.

There has to be a documented guideline from Ferrari on what they will do to make a car "CPO", and the manufacturers write it. They may suggest to replace the tires every 4 years, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the CPO guidelines require it. I'd see if they would provide the checklist they use to qualify a car as CPO.

Porsche dealer sold me a cpo cayenne with the front tires twice as worn as rears. then said the tires needed replacing.

I would be more concerned with the amount of heat cycles, rather than age. If you can get the dealership to put new ones on, great. If not, I wouldn’t worry about it right now.

If you are going to be tracking the car, then yes replace them.

Wouldn't tire age and condition fall under state/country saftey standards? Ferrari can recommend tires every 2 months if they wanted..doesn't mean they or anybody else has to do it.

As long as the tires pass saftey inspection there is no reason for the dealer to change them.

2/32 is not alot of tread. But according to the government..it's good enough...my personal minimum where I would strongly recommend replacement is 3/32 with a maximun age of 6 years on any high performance sports car.

At a minimum they should not apply double standards - i.e.demanding you replace the tyres (at your expense) because they are more than 4-year old, while they did not before selling the car.
So either they replace the tyres at their cost, or you can tell them thank you, I keep my tyres (4 years is a stretch IMHO, and if you want them replaced anyway, you will get a better price from any reputable tyre installer who can order the specific Ferrari marked tyres from the manufacturer).

As one person mentioned, if 4 years is the rule, then they should have been replaced at time of cpo, but I don't think it is a rule and they just want to earn more money off of you...I personally haven't heard of car companies replacing tires that are 4 years old for cpo.

Definitely ask, it won’t hurt, they should do it in good faith.

The key word is "recommended" there is no "must". Even if there was a "must" by the manufacturer..that does not circumvent state saftey regulations.

Now..look yourselves in the mirror..your tech at the shop says you need tires. They are 4 years old.. yet have 6/32 of tread. Are you gonna pop to replace them just because Ferrari said so?

You've had the car for most of a year, I don't think they're going to do anything for you. You can always ask but I wouldn't count on it, that kind of thing would only be done at/near time of sale.

While it’s been about 3 decades since I bought used a car for myself, but back then they were all usually sold “as is” (=buyer beware) and I never heard of any coming with warranties of any kinds.
    Has something changed since ?

a year later?--i think you missed your chance. just go order some from tire rack--depending on where you live they will even come to your house to put them on and give you a 2 year warranty!
