My dad's whole family lives in Cocoa Beach / Melbourne. My cousin told me that the Indian River essentially blew into their house -- The water level was up so high that the entire first floor of their house was flooded and the Neighbor's boat was in their kitchen. Not good.
They're fine. Massive property damage, but all that money you save in taxes can help pay for the damages.
My sister & family is down by There...Parkland. I believe they now have beach front property. I told her open up a new waterpark/SeaWorld .....plenty of parking for house boats. I haven't heard the gory details, but power will be out for over a week.

I live in Wayne, near the part that is always on the news for flooding. It's kinda neat to see BMWs at the local dealership up to their roof in water. But not this time. The local river (Passaic) is overflowing it's banks in some parts, but isn't too too bad. I drove around a little today to take a look. But I'd say we've had enough rain.
