I am buying a 2002 575m (i had posted a question about the handling pack earlier, thanks to all that replied) Given its 6 years old, is it worth getting an extended warranty? The cynic in me says that if any parts fail now, Ferrari will always say it's because of normal wear and tear, given the age of the car, and wont be covered by the warranty. There is a power warranty at the moment till June. I have the option to extend it for 12 months from now for £3,000. Any thoughts/previous experiences? Thanks in advance.
Are you buying the car through a UK authorised dealer ? If not are you sure the new warranty is original Ferrari UK as I thought they'd only reintroduced theirs for cars they resell and only at the time of sale If its an insurance after-market warranty there seem to be various schools of thought most of which seem to worry about exclusions..... Its possibly worth asking this in the UK section as its more about warranty treatment in the UK than 575 (if you see what I mean)
