so for my Speciale I want to go with an exterior color which screams "i am mean, i am angry, i am the last of great naturally aspirated V8 engines... get out of my way... grrrrrr"

trying to do this can only mean one thing when it comes to exterior paint: MATTE (aka Opaco)

the four colors i am currently think about are:

    1. grigio titanio opaco - i am worried it might be too dark (i don't want a black car)

    2. grigio silverstone opaco - might also be a tad too dark for my taste..

    3. grigio scuro opaco - definitely a contender but the green in it makes it very miliatry looking: Speed and Motion/Grigio Scuro Ferrari 599 GTO/IMG_8200

    4. grigio medio opaco - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143293668-post397.html - i love this color but it already is a very pretty flat color to start with. doing it matte might be an overkill. i am curious if anybody has ever seen Matte Grigio Medio.

anybody here has done their 458 Speciale in Matte? any regrets? any pictures?

If you want a dark option I would pick Grigio scuro…..if you want a light sparkling effect titanio opaco!!!

All those colors will be wow!

    Keep us posted!

yes, opaco, I know, but which color?

too dark, and car looks dirty all the time. too light, and the contrast with CF is too much and car doesn't look mean enough....

Lool forgot to mention. I like silverstone. It gives it a nice gun metal effect and is easy on cf details. Dont have picture though. Have seen it on a GTO before. It had HRE's on it which completed the look.

I wouldnt trust it. Cameras cant really capture the real thing very well. I still havent found a pic of the tri layer colours that I deem similar to real. However you choose though, the look will be bad ass. The speciale can pull it well. My favorite colour on it so far is grigio ferro

Tried Google, IDK most of them look like wraps:(

I have a Grigio Titanio spider so I'm biased.

Dark colors (matt gray) cars are somewhat harder to see on the road. Red is mean and more visible IMHO.

Red is for an Italia or F12... Everybody obviously has a different taste but for me Speciale has to be matt, battleship/military type matt..
