Who knows where I can get an extra bulb for my F355 emergency service light (to plug into cig lighter)? Is there a specific bulb model #? Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you can't find a part number, just be aware that those "festoon" type lamps come in different lengths and diameters, as well as wattages. The diameter may be an issue depending on the size of the holder. That looks similar to the interior lamp on the Spider. The original interior lamp hasn't got a number on it, either, but the manual says it's 10 watts. I bought a replacement recently and it turned out to be 2~3mm too short (hard to pick visually when it's in a packet). Manufacturers seem to be selling a lot of LED versions of these lamps. Some are a lot wider than the original glass ones, so that may be an issue. Also, for interior light purposes, the dimming rate may be affected. There are dimmable LEDs, but I don't know if they dim at the same rate as the incandescent type. The forward luggage compartment lamp is also a festoon type (5W). You could experiment, I guess, with different wattage lamps. Are you aiming for originality, functionality or reliability? Anyway, back to the experts...
P.S. Is the old bulb ok? Perhaps you could measure the resistance of it. e.g. my 5 watt festoon bulb is about 2.9 ohms. My 10 watt bulb is about 2.1 ohms (Ohms Law be damned!)
Check with Daniel/Ricambi before ordering, but this could be it. Part #50100205 Ferrari Parts : 50100205 BULB 12V-10W : Ricambi America I have that bulb listed in my notes from my 308 days, my QV had a similar emergency light. For the record, the green bulb from the 308 handbrake is part #40143307.
For reference, the Ricambi "50100205 BULB 12V-10W" will be 41mm long (about 1.6"). This is applicable to the F355 5.2 Spider interior light. You could measure the old lamp before buying. Cheers.
I would try an LED bulb. This one should fit and will be pretty bright... https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/turn-signal-flasher/3710-led-bulb-6-smd-led-festoon-38mm-car/2160/
For info... I tried fitting the wrong diameter lamp to my interior lamp and the hot glass was touching one of the electrical spade (plastic) covers. I foresaw the spade cover melting at some point, so I think I will wait until I find a proper 11mm diameter replacement lamp.
