I'll stick a tape in and watch it for breakfast without commercials. 1) Alonso 2) Button 3) Schumacher
Picking Alonso to win are you? Did F-1 change the tyre/tire rule back to the way it was? I heard they were thinking about doing that. If that is the case I bet the tides will turn...I think we need to start some fantasy F-1 within the group... Thanks. Vince
Tire rule has been reverted so Bridgestones have a chance again. Still they're not as fast as Michelins if we can believe the testing season. Yup, Alonso all the way to his 2nd title! I'm so bummed he isn't driving for the Scuderia in 2007. Regional F1 Fantasy? I'm all for it. Any other takers?
I will be watching it live, shame on you guys for watching it on tape and you guys call your selves fans...piff.
Tough to get guys to wake up at 7:00 am and get together to watch a race. If guys wanted to do breakfast and watch it live I'm always up for that. I know I am in the minority on that one. Thanks. Vince
There are plenty of Races that are later in the Morning that we can get together to watch. I am definitely up for that. The 04:00AM race? Like Andreas said....tape, or watch the evening replay on Speed.
I hear you guys... Actually that is 4:00am Pacific time so in reality it is not as bad as it sounds. I will take a look at the schedule and see what race may work for us. Thanks. Vince C.
How you able to do that? Promising business deals, wonderful kid, awesome car, good family life, late night azz kicking of people on video games... you're more wound up than the F2002 Ferrari engine. I remember when the FCA had its drive to Brian Redman last year. I wanted very much to go because Mike E is a nice guy and the friendly people at LFSC were going to have some sort of welcome area upon arrival. Only problem, meeting time was at something like 7am on Sunday. RocketBoy sleeps on the launchpad tilll noon... According to ITV-F1, Mansell picked Button to win some races this year or at least his first. I'll go along with that, Honda getting one. My craptacular prediction is... MS Champ, 2 Trulli, 3 Fisico. I have no idea how Mac and Williams will react to the changes so I will go with wild cards. Im hoping Alonso goes out there like JPM and not like Hill before a known move, with his mind elsewhere. I always enjoyed Trulli's driving and the rise of Toyota can't be denied. I think Fisi might capitalize on the Spainiard's departure and the current strength of Renault, he's been around long enough... and by default you have to cheer on Ferrari. It would be like cheering against your son's team because you want the other kids to win a game. Who cares, that's where your heart lies, go Ferrari! Fchat legend Imperial83 can retire once Shuey gets his last as well! RocketBoy
Like them or hate them I have to go Ferrari they are hands down the team to beat. Regardless what happen last year (which was shady) you still need to beat team RED! Now that the French have won a championship they can now change the rules back to the way they were. It seems like a French set up to me... Thanks. Vince
Yes, it's going to be quite interesting with the new Engine change. That first race should be really exciting, no doubt.
It could be seen that way. I don't think it was. It was done to hurt Ferrari, but not necessarily to help Renault. At any rate I say Renault and Alonso remain the team to beat. Although the latest testing times favor McLaren's Kimi beating Alonso by 3/10. An interesting season regardless.
I don't know. Maybe Michael was just tired and abit jaded after winning all of those Back to Back Championships. And now after a year, and a crappy season. He's had plenty of time to reflect and decide as to whether he's gonna kick some ass. Or go out on a sour note after this Season. Me thinks the former. Otherwise he probably would have retired before committing himself to the possibility of another lame season. He certainly isn't doing it for the Money.... Ultimately, though, Ferrari needs to provide him the tools in which to accomplish that. And, after last season. They, no doubt, are putting their All into it.
We just got a 51" HDTV and had to get the speed channel to go with it, I very much look forward to watching "the good racing". I wish Speed Channel broadcasted in HD...maybe someday soon.
Welcome to the Sunday morning breakfast club. I normally watch the sun rise over the lake as the five red lights go out. Coffee in one hand, croissant in the other.
I'll be right over....I am a really good cook....I'll bring the Breakfast stuff and cook it, you guys get the Coffee started.....
Discovery HD channel has a series called 'Secret Club of Speed' which had a whole episode about Ferrari owners going to the track and racing. I had that and all kinds of other stuff on the DVR, but my Dish Network satellite reciever box just died the other day, and I got the replacement yesterday and it gives only 1 channel, so I have no TV in the house right now. So now I have 65" of blank picture and my reflection...:O( No race for me... Time to pull out the DVD collection...
Hey, this sounds like a good deal!! My only request is to have my eggs scrambled very hard and dry! I cant stand anything remotely gooey with eggs. I will have the coffee ready to go, hot chocolate as well. And I make some killer cinnamon rolls Andreas!
I would be up for the race this Sunday but it would have to be the early original airing as I have to go to the CRA brunch and hand out flyers for the VA car show...I have to leave at 11 for that. On the 19th there is the Grand Prix of Malaysia. The repeat is at 11:30am. Either one works for us here, I will have the coffee ready to go!
I'm solo this weekend if anyone is really serious about meeting up for the race--live. I'll be in my basement watching the big screen, drinking coffee, drinking coffee, drinking coffee, drin......
