Okay, there is a blue 355 spider that I haev been hearing about that is soont o go up for sale in my area. I have been told it is a "carbon fiber edition" #35 of 100 did they make an actual carbon fiber edition or is it just a 355 with the CF interior package? wanted to make sure before i call his bluff its blue if that matters
There's no such thing as a "crabon fibre version" 35 of 100, sounds like a Serie Fiorano, produced in 1999 to see off the F355 design.
Yup, it was an interior package. Serie Fiorano also had a few other minor changes like lower ride height, slightly stiffer suspension, and I believe the Scuderia shields on the front fenders. Interior CF pieces included: Door Panels Door Sills Instrument Trim Bezel Radio Trim Bezel Center Tunnel Bezel Shift Knob Emergency Brake Handle It's a sweet car, and if you buy the CF stuff directly from Ferrari, it's about $11k (I priced it), so worth a few extra bucks over a regular 99.
I have seen pics here of this blue car...do a search...it is really a sharp looking car. Here is a list of features included on the Serie Fiorano 355 spider... Racing brake kit Cross drilled brake discs Red calipers Suede steering wheel Dedication number plaque Rear challenge grill Carbon fiber interior accents (Console/trim around radio and three gauges above) Carbon fiber F1 paddles Scuderia shields Fiorano handling package-(consists of stiffer front and rear springs, lowered ground height of 3 inches, "dedicated set up for the steering device, providing less assistance at low speeds" and "racing type brake pads mounted on red calipers.") Challenge rack Front/rear challenge roll bar Stiffer rate coil springs Shock ECU specific to Fiorano setup
