The Fact that its cycling funny is also a sign of a bad sensor...or low on water.
I told him what to check,If some guys want to replace there fans the first time your fuse blows..go ahead ..all the power to you.No wonder some of you have such high maintenance costs.I like to find the problem before i replace anything.

Can't speak for the OP but in my case the fans were pulling too many amps.

Well ignore the bad fan and you will have issues for a very long time or you can just buy a new footwell fuse box. The fan is cheap and easy to fix. You can buy one from jackthefanman for $127. Thats not big maintenance.....its just smart. Replacing a fuse box....$1400 if you can find one.
The fan motors in the 355 are not sealed and the dirt will get in and they will start to draw more juice.

No problems at all ever with my fans...temp is rock solid
Have got a pair of sealed lower amp SPALs as backups though

Replaced LH radiator at around 50,000 miles due to leak

Since you two guys live in Canada and London respectively I doubt your fans get much work! Just kidding, each car is different and I'm glad I caught mine in time before my fuse box melted.

Thanks Gerry and Mitchell for the information and picture. My fans have been good so far, but if a fuse blows I will be a lot more proactive than just replacing the fuse. I would think that these fans could fail like many other parts regardless of mileage.
