    Exactly what I was thinking.......dayum that is ugly........and not a good sort of ugly like the F-4 was.

    Dayum ugly is right! And I agree, next to the A-10 a loaded up F-4 is the best kind of ugly.

    It looked like that before they gave it to the Boeing St Louis guys, who made it prettier, but uncompetitive. The original Boeing design had much better range than the L-M entry. The final product did not.

    Live and learn. The original looked like a pregnant SLUF.
