F-40 Colors

I thought F40 only came in red from the factory...are they repainted?

 

Yes, they only came in red, so that means any other color you see has been repainted.

I love that black F40 Is it blasphemy to paint one other than red though?

I thought they came in Yellow too.

 

They were in theory all red from the factory. However, some have been repainted yellow, blue, black, etc...

 

Does anyone have a pic of a blue one?

Unless the numbers were wrong, Cavallino or Forza reported that all were red except (my numbers might be off) about 5 that were yellow, 2 that were black, all factory painted.

 

Ferrari built a grey/RHD F40 for the sultan of Brunei.

I remember seing a pic of a white F40 in Sultan of Brunei's garage. I dunno if its RHD.

 

The 3 F40's below were all owned by the Sultan all were RHD.

Are you sure it was Ferrari and not Pininfarina that built/painted the car? Ferrari sure didn't build any of the other custom cars, but gave it's blessing to Pininfarina to do so.
