Seems I've seen it both ways, but I was corrected in another forum when I wrote F-40. It appears that the engraving on the wing support says "F40," so I'll take that as the best indicator.
Perhaps we can have a thread dedicated to the preferred (and proper) nomenclature concerning the names (and misnomers!) of Ferrari models.
Well an interesting question for people of high intellect...perhaps we need comrade 512 Tea whatever to assist us with this most important question...then again the fellow comrade is banned... Seriously though I say F40.
Which other forum ? The original sales brochure has a large F40 on the front cover. Also the owners manual etc all are titled F40. The same holds true for the F50.
Ban's been up for a few weeks. Besides, 14 of A_SINGER's 15 IP addresses match with Comrade Tea Are Mate's.
Ferrari never seems to use the dash between letters and number of the various road car model designations (there may be some exceptions, I haven't even checked, but I don't recall any). For example, it is never 512-TR. It is always, 512 TR.
