No offense, but it already has been posted and discussed here a couple of times. It's a pretty weird manouvre though.

Why do people actually care if something has already been posted? Maybe not EVERYONE had the chance to see it the first time around. New users join the forum everyday.....Is reposting really that big of a deal? I mean, what is accomplished by telling someone that it is a repost, other than wasting your time on something you have already seen. I dont get it.

Nothing is accomplished Omerta. Complaining all the time about someone doing another harm by reposting something is snobbish and a good way to scare off people who admire Ferrari and want to learn more. People are entitled to their own opinions but I would rather see more open behavior than some chair kings/queens acting all high with their infinite knowledge of all things net related to Ferrari. Should people do a search before posting anything? How are you all doing today? Oh wait, I should search the archives for a response that hasn't already been posted...

Be more receptive people. For kids who are interested to learn more about what should be considered an almost untouchable image ( Ferrari ownership, ) having a snobby reply is no good. What are the other options? Telling people to look up the latest Ford Mustang and check to see if there are any Calvin whizzing on Rusty Wallace stickers on Ebay?

Dude...what is accomplished by telling someone that u don't get it ;) I just wanted to tell Ytosun in a friendly way what might be the reason for the fact that no replies had been given to his post yet. And of course, after reading the title I was also a little bit disappointed that it wasn't a video that I hadn't seen yet, but hey...that's no big deal. I'm sorry you got me wrong.

@ Rocketboy: I totally agree, people shouldn't have to search first before posting something. It would take hours. But i think there is no good reason for you to call my reply "snobby". At least I tried to be gentle.

    Peace

My response is just an open rant to the people I feel are too harsh and, despite this being through the net, just appear to have a nerdy attitude. Lord knows, heck we all know, that there is unfortunately a persona that goes with certain vehicles and their drivers. So the next time I, you, or anyone feels the need to respond, keep what you might be representing in mind. After all, this ( Fchat, ) is the largest research site for all things Ferrari.

I find it amazing that one of my closest Ferrari owning friends is one of the most friendly person one can meet, ( he owns over 5. ) Yet you can meet an older "sophisticated" person driving a 360 who will actually roll up the window to "nice car," shouts from friendly drivers. What I think is worse is that many of the people who don't even own a Ferrari on this site spewing out harsh knowledge/responses to people who have a genuine interest in the subject and are not keen into the nerd talk or the archives. Who cares people? Grow up and get a life and try to promote good rather than bad.

The tone of our responses to people should definitely be given more thought than a seedy, " I know more about Ferrari and Fchat than you" type fever. I try to stick to it: Ferrari and this site could be the best when giving people friendly knowledge.

Maybe i dont know how to search but i put in "F50 crash" and for some reason it only showed the video once, 17 matches but only one referring to the video above.

Hotrooder above, why do you say "15 times" if the search does not?

Anyway Rocketboy, cheers for the video.... I put a video on Lambochat recently and the first thing i asked was if it was a repost, turns out it was. I did a search and could not find it though???????????

    regards,

    Matthew

IMO search feature is sh!tty to say the least. i remember the first times I used it it is way to hard to find anything specific, even if it was posted just a few days before. I also discovered that searching the same thing via google is much easier and faster and the results lead to F-chat.

Someone should make the search feature on this site more user friendly, more versatile with more detailed search and display options.

I say post what ever the $#%@ you want! Who cares if it has been posted already. Those who have seen it can ignore it (but, we all know they wont :)) and those who havent seen it get to enjoy it!

Or, maybe when new users sign up, they should be encouraged to use the Search engine, find and read EVERY post that has ever been made on F-Chat. This way they will be up-to-date, and we wont have to worry about these (apparently) extremely problematic reposts.
