    But the P-51, will get away from you very easily I'm told.

    Sad - there are essentially two schools in the US where you can get checked out in a P-51, one in California, and the other in Florida. Both run about $35,000 for the program.

    My strongest memory from my flight in a P-51 was the immediate response to power changes, positve and negative. If flight speed is too low the Tail will wag the dog from an abrupt increase in power and a torque roll will result. I have seen this happen before. SAD.

    Terrible...and now two more were lost at Oshkosh, one pilot dead. Sad. That plane must be a bear.
