I was browsing the SC forum and came across this. It was pretty "interesting" to say the least. It makes Pchops F355 look brand new (no offense PChop).

"So one of my business partners here in the office sold a Ferrari to a guy who evidently can’t drive…The guy had it for just a few hours before this happened…Everyone is o.k. now but they sure are bummed about their new insurance rates…..The car had less than 10,000 miles on it and they guy paid $125,000 for the car…....."

I guess that's wouldn't surprise me. After all, if I hit one rock and had to replace the engine, it stands to reason that hitting several rocks would cause the entire car to fall apart. :D

no - already did that once - but that was in 2002.

some of you guys know about it but i guess not all of you... a medium-sized rock on hwy 280 in NJ was lying in the passing lane (big enough that any normal car would be in trouble if one of the wheels hit it, but small enough that other cars can and did pass over without incident). Anyway, no time to avoid it, and when I went over it, the oil pressure sending unit (in the middle on the bottom of the engine compartment) got hit, drained the oil from the engine, and although I pulled off immediately (well, within seconds anyway) they had to replace the engine under insurance.

That's why the first thing I looked at a few weeks back in my incident was anything that suggested an oil leak...

So thank goodness this time I don't need a new engine. :)

Get the car up to 175 - 180; then pull up as hard as you can on the e-brake.
