So I had Agip in my trans originally. Then I switched to Redline and the cold 1-2 was waaaay better. So for the heck of it (old P-Car days) I decided to try the Swepco 201.

OMG! What a difference! The cold 1-2 is not that great but once warmed up, it is silky smooth.

Rather than turning this in to yet another: Which oil do you like best, I have come to a conclusion that each F-Car tranny responds differently to each oil and also depends on total mileage on the trans.

What works great in 1 car may or may not be the best for another car. Therefore, people are adamant about which oil is best (really for their own particular application).

    Just my .02

I add two tubes of the GM Limited Slip additive (small tube $7.00 from GM) to whatever oil I put in.

Gues I got lucky as the bottle of friction modifer is full and still in its original state on my work bench. No chatter and that limited slip kicks in quick

Just as a datapoint, the Redline "no shock" works **fantastic** in my tranny...if I have the fluid filled to 90% to 100%.

Overfilling even slightly puts me back into notchy shifts, and under 90% full puts me back into the tough 1-2 shift days again.
