surprisingly (to me) the dino 246 gets rather poor mpg...and yess I know you don't buy a f-car for fuel economy..just curious which car would be the stingiest on fuel.

probably something geared very tall, but with a relatively moderate engine tune and less than porcine proportions...

most of the V8 cars are geared too short, IMO.

I average right at 20 MPG in my 328 in normal use.

That said, a morning hot rodding around on the back roads can burn a tank in a hurry

I'm getting 15.5 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. I can lean out the mixture screws on the MAFs and get 16 to 17 in the city, but performance suffers so that's not where I've got it set right now.

I've got to switch over to the Hyper-Flow cats one day to see how much that helps (performance and fuel economy).

These 348 Spiders have high-ratio differentials, so it doesn't surprise me that the 348TS and 348TB get better fuel mileage.

At a steady 35- 4000 rpm for a full tank full, my 84’ 308 QV, without running the gears, has gotten 23.5 mph. Constantly running the gears is another story.

    Present 328 averages 20 mpg.
    Old 208 GT4 was around 24.
Not that I care too much anyway.

I had always understood that a stock carbed 308 would get 20-22 or better. The 2 1/2 ton sports car with the high performance gas engine, and it only does slightly worse than a 300 diesel Mercedes. Best the 300 ever got was about 25. So hey, the 308 is like an economy car. Should do better than the tank 380 roadster too, best thats done is like 18 or so.

the hoodscoop is over the Cabin of the boat. Also, that has the same MOMO steeringwheel as my 21'2" Rinker boat. Anyway, looks like someone is almost as obsessed with Ferrari as me....!!!! :)

    woah, wrong thread!

running around town in stop and go traffic and hitting redline at every chance i'll get 10~12mpg. cruising around town like grandma on prozaic and it's 15~20mpg. cruising the highway at a steady 75~80mph and i get an astonishing 27~30mpg!

all of this in the 4 seater GT known as the Mondial 8.

The Ferraris with the best mpg are called museum pieces

The Ferraris with the second best mpg are called garage queens
