F-Chat/CAFE/VIR Pit Stop : 4/30/04

OK Here are the details:

If you're headed to the V.I.R. track event, I'm hosting a "pit stop" on the way up to Virginia. Since we'll be driving on Friday afternoon, Winston-Salem is conveniently located near non-interstate routes to the track. If you're coming from Charlotte/Lake Norman area, I strongly recommend taking NC801 through Mout Ulla, Cooleemee, and Mocksville: gorgeous countryside, no big rigs! If you're on the other side of Charlotte, I-85 to US52 would work too... US52 just past Lexington opens up to a huge smooth-as-a-babys-butt freeway with very little truck traffic.

I believe there is a "welcome cocktail" at the hotel in Danville, so here's my suggestion:

1. Arrive Winston-Salem around 2:00pm.
2. Let cars cool, drink some beverages/eat some junk-food
3. Annoy the neighbors
4. Repeat step #2
5. Depart for track around 4:30pm.

For the dirt-annoyed crowd, I'll have plenty of quick-detailer, a buffer, etc. for general use.
