Got an F Pace today, an R-Sport version with the 340 hp V6.

It occurred to me today that most Jaguar dealers also sell Land Rover. Comparing the two today, I can see the Jag taking away the lion's share of sales.

Range Rover I can see as they are more upscale, although the Evoque will see a lot of sales cannibalized too. But Land Rover? No real comparison.

Agree, pics. I am considering one myself.....at first I thought, why?? Why would they (JLR) do that when they have the best 4x4xfar? But this thing seems to be going after the BMW X5/Porsche Cayenne/Macan crowd.....

F-Pace or Disco Sport? Looks like F-Pace wins. We'll see.

Here are a few quick pictures. Standard (non pearl) w. Color of the interior is called Taurus, a medium gray and the stitching is a contrasting lime color. I would have never picked it but my wife liked it, a standard color option.

The V6 is the same as the F-type and it is pretty fast, about the same as our old Cayenne Turbo (04), the F Pace seems much lighter. Space inside is about the same. Really a four-seater even if they claim five.

I'm interested to hear first person accounts of the new F pace. I think they look great and am planning to drive one soon.

Seems like a neat alternative to the X5/Cayenne/SRX.

Don't let the pictures fool you, in person the F Pace couldn't be more different than the CX-9, it looks stunning in person. You can definitely tell it's a Jaguar and it sounds pretty raucous in the V6 guise, from the outside at least.

OP congrats on the car, your wife has good taste

I went to go look at the F-Pace with the GF this weekend. Her ML350 lease is up. Car looks great on the outside, but the interior had a distinctively "Ford" feel to it. It wasn't the R-sport. It was either "premium" or "prestige." It just felt a bit too plasticky for a Jag. I had the same feeling when I got an XF loaner from my Land Rover dealership. It just didn't feel like a Jag interior should feel. Too much low-grade plastic. Doors felt thin.

By contrast, we went to look at an XC-90 as well. That car has probably one of the nicest interiors next to a Range Rover. The materials were just better. Everything had a nicer feel, from the leather to the plastics to the chrome pieces.
