    They weren't red back in 1964 when "El Commendatore" was around. He just did it to upset the order of things as a backlash to because they didn't homogulate the 250LM.

    So Renault is facing even more problems:

    Renault F1 employees at the base in Viry-Chantillon will go on strike Fiday in protest at plan to close the F1 engine programme after next year.

    There will also be a protest at the ItalianGP at Monza from employees in the grandstands.

    No effect on team activities.

    If you want bizarre safety car incidents beyond this and the 2002 Heidfeld incident at Interlagos, look no further than Taki Inoue and the TWO he was caught up in in 1995: both times he was the innocent victim.

    In all 3 cases it is a miracle no one got hurt...

    He was actually in the same UK Esso Formula Ford series as me in 1988 but nothing like that happened that year:eek::D
