Think they can fix their issues before this race lol???

Mercedes holding crunch meeting to solve where car has gone wrong
Mercedes has called a meeting at its Brackley factory on Monday with both of its drivers to help ascertain where it has gone wrong with its Formula 1 car.
The team started the season alongside Red Bull as one of McLaren's main rivals, with George Russell taking four podiums in the first six races.

I checked Spa to Hungaroring on ViaMichelin.com : 1241kms (771 miles), 12h30min through Belgium, Germany, Austria and Hungary, time predicted for a car. So that is quite a few hours more for a truck even with alternate drivers. For Europe that is a big drive. Yes yes I know for US drivers not so much.

Speed limits for trucks in Europe vary from 80 to 90 kph (50 to 56mph) on motorways and between 70 to 80 kph (45 to 50mph) on secondary roads.
Plus taking into account the EU 10hrs limit on daily driving time, the mandatory 8 hrs rest at the end of a day's driving and the compulsory 30 minutes break every 4 hours (all recorded on the tachometer), over that distance its a minimum of 2 days.
Also, a driver isn't allowed to take his rest in the cab if the vehicle is moving, so having a relief driver on the vehicle isn't of much use.

So you use 2 cab/trucks: drive 1/2 way, switch cab/trucks, drive second 1/2.

Or you send ahead at half distance the relief driver who will take over for the second part of the journey, which is what most hauliers would do if they had to meet a tight deadline.

This is F1: they heli-lift the relief drivers across the route (whilst carbon-offsetting of course).

Hahaha:). One instance when a helicopter was actually used other than for drivers, team managers and VIP's was during a GP weekend at Magny Cours; there was a trucker's union strike blocking access to the circuit, so a team that needed some critical parts had them picked up by helicopter from their own truck at a roundabout under the nose of the strikers who, I am glad to say, were very vexed indeed:D.

I would love to see a plan showing how these team "houses" are being put together. I assume they are based on the huge containers off the trucks but then somehow magically unfold into these giant houses like origami?

Tom Cruise would parachute down onto the moving truck, climb down into the cab and take the wheel without stopping. Then he and the driver would exchange knowing winks;)……that’s how it’s done.

I attended this GP, I think it was 1992 - it took me 6 hours to come back from Magny-Cours to Paris (about 160 miles, usually a little more than 3 hours).

It's a shame and hard to believe. They have so many great tracks in that big country which is also the birthplace of GP racing. Really sad. Similar things could be said about Germany. Instead we have street races in places with zero motorsport history. :(

There isn't, either in France nor in Germany, a promoter who wants to pay the exhorbitant fees asked by Liberty.
There are still outstanding debts left from the last French GP, I read.

I get that. But the government should chip in. Both countries have an important car manufacturing industry as well as drivers on the grid. Should be reason enough, but no.
