Thanks! Will ask him, and if I need a new actuator, will contact GTE engineering. Thanks so much for the info!

My mechanic is changing fluid & bleed all air out tomorrow, so I'll find out if that takes care of the problem. I'm crossing my fingers; he thinks it's 50:50 odds.

    Good to hear mate!

And thanks for the info, I didn't think it would have been too hard to repair them.

Would still love a look at one. I might contact some of the local dealerships and see if they will sell or give me an old one if they have one laying around.

    Enjoy the weekend Taz!

Curious if an actuator problem considered a "wear and tear" item?

I am considering an aftermarket warranty

Nes- Depends on the warranty. You would have to read the fine print. If you mean are they like clutches, brakes, and tires, the answer is no.

All of the F1 components would last much longer with regular fluid changes and bleeding of the system. Just like any of the fluids in her.

Sorry to revive this but has anyone changed just the seals on the actuator? Mines working properly (zero shift issues) but its leaking oil from front by the potentiometers and the rear where theres a black cover, right above where the f1 hoses connect. Mechanic says just needs new seals and tested for leaks before reinstalling. We are in process of removal n ship to Serkan once we get his form to fill out. I thought id ask just in case theres a method to just replace seals.
