My Car recently started Flashing F1 and ABS light when the Key is in ON position before starting the car. Car drives fine, I can go through all the gears while driving. F1 light is Red, ABS light is yellow. Car has almost 19,000 miles

    Any advice on this issue?

I see from your profile you are talking about a 2001 360. That might help others help you :) I unfortunately don't have any idea what the problem may be.

Sometimes as the F1 lever wears it can give a false signal - try pushing it forward as you start - if no light then thats a hint - there's a metal arm that Hills do (via Ricambi in USA) that can fix it for a hundred bucks (approx) - its quite a common issue so there are previous threads (of course)

Update..I tried messing with the lever, pushed it up but still light flashed on start up. Usually happens when the car is left overnight. What else can I check? Fluid looks good

Flashing F1 means that the system hasn't fully pressurized yet.
a couple things to pay attention to...
Before you start the car wait until the F1 pump audibly shuts off and the check ok light comes on (when you open the door the F1 pump primes the system)
If you start the car before the F1 has turned off, you can get the flashing F1 symbol. In other words, if you are too quick to turn the key, you might not have a fully primed system

Check to make sure the brakes lights work. A faulty brake switch will cause an F1 light.

None of the above, read some of the other F1 posts, there are plenty and/or get into the shop for an SD2/3 diagnostic.

Can't speak to the ABS but I have some experience dealing with the F1 light.

Flashing F1 light means the fluid is low. ABS light is a different issue though. How is your battery as low voltage can cause weird issues.

This is the correct method to check the level. Most of us don't have that tool so maybe insert a drinking straw into the reservoir so it touches the screen at the bottom and then measure the height of the fluid from the bottom of the straw and adjust to suit.

Alan- All that tool is is a bent piece of tubing on a fluid dispenser that can also act like a pump. My guys have one they keep just for the Tutella CS Speed the 575M uses for F1 fluid. Simple to make and the same tool with a different tip can be used to pull out F1 fluid for a partial fluid change.

I will check for low voltage and replace the battery if needed.
