For those of you who have a Ferrari, Maserati or BMW with one of these type gearboxes; if you had it to do over, would you have went with a stick-shift manual instead? Why or why not?

I keep posting it, and nobody listens, THIS is the future of gearboxes:

Meanwhile for the street a manual gearbox is still the best option.

No, because the 6spd in the Maserati is a joke. But I still prefer 6spd over CC.

Thinking of a 6sd manual in a Maserati in about a year or so, what exactly is wrong with it?? Is it just sub par for a car of this class and otherwise fine?

It's not very fun to drive and feels very cheap for the car it is in. I prefer 6spd/5spd over F1/CC/SMG/etc but in the Maserati the CC drives much nicer and is more fun. But if the Maserati had a 6spd that felt like it belonged the car then I would definantely consider a 6spd Maserati.

The only car I would think it's fine in is maybe a 57 Chevy truck.

Then again this is just my opinion, drive one yourself but there's a reason they're not very highly desired. Some 6spd owners also complain about the CC so again it's an opinionated thing but I was VERY dissapointed with the 6spd in the Mas.

    Regards,
    Kevin

    Frank,
As a lawyer you should know the correct grammar is "have gone" not "have went"

My concern with this is reliability during an endurance race... if those bullets are spring loaded and there has to be a set of them for each gear, chances are they are going to break, and servicing the tranny at the gears probably isn't an easy thing to do in the pits :D, it might also not stand up to extreme stress very well, the shifts in the video are at like 3000 rpms.
